When JLR partnered with Fetch & Funnel, the brand was using flash sales and pricing promotions to generate revenue through Facebook. The brand’s previous agency had doubled-down on this short lived strategy, by heavily retargeting past purchasers and website visitors with discounts. It was the only way they knew how to generate sales.
We set out to kick this habit to the curb, and implement a sustainable strategy to profitably grow the business.
Reaching over 31 million people per month, Gadget Flow has featured over 15,000 products and promoted over 5,000 crowdfunding campaigns.
We used a combination of advertising strategies to help get Gadget Flow in the sights of the right consumers. Using social strategies and Facebook ads, we increased social engagement, drastically lowered CAC, increased sales, and helped acquire B2B customers.

How We Did It

Objective #1
Build a Facebook Campaign Funnel
JLR’s previous agency was running 38 different campaigns in Facebook, making it difficult to manage and unnecessarily expensive as a result of audience overlap. We streamlined the advertising account down to only three campaigns…one campaign for prospecting, and two for retargeting.
Account simplification is the process of consolidating many campaigns into a select few, which enables Facebook to analyze more data and gather learnings at a faster rate.
We prioritized top of funnel prospecting (new customers), in order to fill the retargeting funnel with quality traffic.
Objective #2
How To Rapidly Grow Your Audience
The JLR team did a great job building relationships, and they were able to land a surprise appearance on a UK television show called “This Morning”.
JLR immediately notified their account team at Fetch, giving us an opportunity to build and launch a Facebook campaign tailored specifically for the PR campaign. We developed fresh ad creative using branding from the tv appearance, and targeted fans of the tv show on Facebook.
Results were great! We tracked 1000+ sales on Facebook that were directly attributed to a new audience (fans of the tv show).


Objective #3
Taking Advantage of PR
Getting PR is great, but the effects are short-lived if you’re not set up to take full advantage of the opportunity.
Organic PR paid off in a big way! The “Carrie” handbag was featured on the show, resulting in a surge of website traffic which accelerated growth of our retargeting audiences. We were able to retarget this traffic, with messaging and creative that aligned with the television appearance. We saw an explosion in sales from our curated Facebook ads.
The JLR team was able to turn this endorsement into another appearance on the “Lorraine” show, which helped to further boost sales and maintain momentum. As a result of the collaborative effort, thousands of new prospective customers entered our funnel.
